We had a small

on Halloween...

"Punkin Day"

BB has been calling Halloween "Punkin Day"...

He is excited for all the fun that comes with Punkin Day.

We had some punkin fun this weekend,

visiting a little punkin patch, 

coloring on a punkin,

wearing punkin pjs, 

and having a little punkin muffin tin meal,

We had a quick "Goin'Fishin'"

Muffin Tin Snack the other day...

 

BB dipped the pretzel sticks

into the peanut butter

then "caught" the goldfish.

He was surprised

and excited about

this simple but fun snack!

The letter of the week for bb's class is C...

So Monday he had food that 
{mostly} started with the letter C 
when he got home from school...

Aaaaaaaaargh!

We (sort of) participated in 

International Talk Like a Pirate Day 

last week....

we only said 1 or 2 "piratey" things, 

but BB had a pirate muffin tin lunch

(he also wore his pirate hat and had his sword)

 Tuna Fish,

Pirate Booty cheddar puffs,

"Buried Treasure" {Reese's Pieces under vanilla pudding with crushed Nilla wafers on top}

and we all had a pirate inspired dinner!

Big and Little

So, I had 

BIG

plans to prep a few blog posts

on Friday...

then we got a 

BIG 

surprise in a 

LITTLE

package, when our baby made

his appearance 20 days early!

We are full of

BIG

love for our sweet new baby boy...

here is a

boy had a few weeks ago

as we were talking to him about our

baby and trying to prepare him.

in our MINI muffin tin he had:

MINI chips ahoy

HOP

SBJ had his 

2 best girlfriends

over for a "Hop" play date

during Spring Break last week.

We tried to watch the movie

but the kids had the attention span

of 3 year olds...

haha!

They watched part of the movie

but mostly they just played 

and the moms got to talk!

I did fix them a special

"Hop"-inspired {super easy} snack...

I used the feet muffin cups

to hold Cheddar Bunnies and a Bunny Marshmallow!

Scavenger Hunt-Spring Snack Mix

I am not sure where this came from,

but SBJ has been talking about

Scavenger Hunts lately.

So, we had a scavenger hunt 

to find his snack!

I told him the places to go

to find the different items.

{ex: "Where do we keep our books?"}

 Once he found the item,

he put them in his bag.

When all items were found

we took them to our muffin tin

to pour each one in...

 On the scavenger hunt SBJ found

the ingredients for a 
Spring Snack Mix:

Marshmallow Bunnies

Colorful Goldfish

Yogurt-covered Raisins

Pastel M&Ms

Dried Cherries and Berries

Peanuts

 After pouring each ingredient

into the muffin tin,

he got to pick some out 

and put in his bowl for snack...

 

 Then he shook up to make his mix!

On the Go!

We are often

"On-The-Go!"

In fact, 

we recently

picked SBJ up from school 

and had to hit the road...

so lunch was in the car.

I had this "muffin tin" meal 

ready for him...

PB&J sandwich,

Yogurt covered raisins and dried blueberries,

Bunny fruit snacks,

Goldfish

...all in little muffin cups inside 

a gladware-ish storage container

that was easy for him to hold.

{early} St. Patrick's food

We had St. Patrick's Day

lunch and dinner today

because my SBJ 

is going out of town 

with the Hubs this weekend.

SBJ had a rainbow lunch...

Red: Tomatoes

Orange: Goldfish

Yellow: Pudding Pie

Green: Grapes

Blue: Blueberries

with a few pieces of chocolate GOLD at the end of the rainbow!

oh! and my attempt at a 4leaf clover PB&J.

 ...and a green dinner!

Valentine's Day Meals

We waited to do 

our Muffin Tin meals

until today because 

I knew I was going to do

special Valentine's lunch and dinner

for SBJ.

 For lunch we used our heart tin.

SBJ had

~ heart shaped PB&J,

~ special Vday M&M cookie,

~ watermelon,

~ baby goldfish,

~ strawberries.

 For snack we used a pink muffin cup
and new Valentine's cup.
SBJ had
~ heart shaped fruit snacks
~ water.
 

For dinner we used a special heart plate

with a few red and pink muffin cups.

SBJ had

~ chicken caesar pasta,
~ strawberries and watermelon, 
~ special brownie with Vday M&Ms, 

~ salad.

Super Lunch

SBJ's Muffin Tin Lunch

was inspired by the

Super Bowl yesterday.

None of our teams

were in the game...

so we just enjoyed 

time with family and friends,

a few commercials,

and half-time.

And, now our Super Lunch!

Let it Snow, Let it Snow...

Oh, my SBJ wishes it would snow.

On an almost daily basis

he says something along the lines of,

"Mommy, it needs to snow."

Poor boy, 

this winter weather has been

so unusual!?

Luckily, 

last week at Creative Movement

they had a SNOW theme...

and we followed up with
a SNOW muffin tin for lunch!

Healthy Body

My SBJ was watching 

a few cartoon videos on the iPad 

the other day.

Then he came to me and said,

"Mommy, can I have some fruit

so I can have a healthy body?"

My answer?

"OF COURSE!"

So I made a quick

Healthy Body Muffin Tin...

{thankfully I had a few fresh and frozen fruits}

My sweet boy turned 3

on Friday!

We planned to take him 

to the local hot dog place for lunch,

like we did last year...

but he said he wanted to eat at home.

but it is what he asked for...
