Muffin Tin Monday: Lunchable

Happy Muffin Tin Monday!
I have seen this on a few other blogs
and have been wanting to try it...
We made our own Lunchable.SBJ loved it!

Forgetting the Before: JWC Shtuff

*Aw man!*
I didnt get a picture for this week either...
I was just SO EXCITED to hand over my Presidential duties that I gave the notebook away without even snapping a photo!

For years, the President of the Junior Woman's Club here has had a notebook with all the info she needed to get through the year smoothly....until last year, my year. It went missing!?
Also for years, one President has passed on several boxes of "shtuff" that has pretty much just sat in garage after garage. 
So...here is what I did:
- For the President notebook, I typed all the info I thought was important in a 3-ring binder. I added a planning calendar. I also added business cards for important contacts. I made lists and noted helpful tips. Hopefully this one won't get lost!
- As far as the boxes...I went through each of them. I discarded old, unimportant papers and stuff. I put all the "history" type items in a both that is now stored at the Woman's Club building. I gave a box of useful papers and items to the new President.
- I made folders for each Board member that had their responsibilities listed.
- I also made folders or notebooks for the chair of each of our projects or community outreach committees. I asked them to keep track of the info they use for planning so it can be passed to the next chair person.

It is my hope that this organization will help the club continue to grow, run smoothly and make the President's job easier!

Friends and family could easily call me

part of the Mamarazzi...

and I wouldn't mind.

It would be fabulous

to have a guide to help me

take even awesomer (ha) photos!

I love all of my pictures!

However, sometimes I am bummed by the photos I don't get...

{ie: no photos of SBJ and I at SeaWorld}

Tasty Tuesday: Daddy

Several of my friends and I 

are part of a horrible group...

we have all lost our fathers.

It is a really sucky group to be a part of.

Yesterday marked 6 years

since my daddy died.

He was such a foodie and great cook.

So, when he was in the hospital and said, 

"I know just what I want to eat when I get out of here"

we immediately thought, 

"Yea, steak, veggies, red wine, and then a beer."

Right?

Nope.

He said, "Fruit Salad and a Diet Coke."

Unfortunately, he never got to have that...

so every year on May 23rd

I have it for him.

I wish I knew what he wanted in his salad,

but here is what I had this year:

mandarin oranges,

strawberries,

pineapples,

blueberries,

grapes,

and kiwi.

...and of course a Diet Coke to drink.

So I separated the food in our
Beef and Broccoli dinner
and put it in a muffin tin
with a few treats.
It was a hit!

Forgetting the Before: Guest Bed

I am going to STOP cramming things under the bed in our guest room.
They become forgotten...
I recently pulled it all out. I got rid of most of what was under there or found a new home. There are still a few small things, that don't really have another home.
I will probably still use that space for storage, but in a smarter-more organized way!

Thankful Thursday: "Flow-duh"

Did you miss me?

 SBJ, my mom, and I 

road tripped it to Florida...

we spent the week

visiting with family and friends!

It was fabulous.

So today I am thankful for...

how awesome my son is.

seriously, he is awesome.

he is smart, he is cute, he is an amazing traveler!

 

time with my family and FLA bffs.

it is always too short.

 

 SEA WORLD!  

we had a blast.

 

 and so much more...but that is all for now!
